Transportation, Hotels, food for shopping in Guangzhou

1.TRANSPORTATION: Does the train on Metro/subway line 2 & 5 also stop at the Guangzhou Railway Station?
2.HOTEL:Any budget hotels suitable for elderly couple (cost about MYR100 per night) within walking distance to the shopping area near Guangzhou Railway Station? (I was informed that family inns in the area are mostly reserved for Mainland Chinese)
3.FOOD: Any cheap Halal Chinese food near Guangzhou Railway Station? If rice is not included, where can I buy cooked rice separately?
4.For shopping mostly near GuangZhou Railway station, Yide Road stn., Beijing Road stn. where would you advise us to stay?

1. Yes, both metro line 2 & 5 stop at Guangzhou Railway Station.
2. You are advised to stay at Pod Inn (Liwan Road Caihongqiao Branch). The price is around CNY 150 per night in usual time. It provides clean living environment and warm service. The address is No.38, Xihua Road, Liwan District.
3. Well, most restaurants in Guangzhou provide rice. Don't worry. Kung Fu Restauran is recommended. It is located at 4F, Tianma Building, No.168, West Huanshi Road, Yuexiu District.
4. It is suggested to stay nearby the railway station. The surrounding transportation is convenient.

Any alternatives? I was informed that Pod Inn is available only for mainland Chinese.
