As I know, you can take them if they are for personal use. For insurance reasons, you are advised to declare them at the custom.

Baby food will obviously not be for personal use, it will be a destined for a family or a contact with a child somewhere. Its what quantity would be deemed gift able. A couple of bottles would be OK but would a carton of 12 be deemed a commercial quantity? I don't mind paying duty but I don't want to be processed for hours at the border for the sake of some calcium supplements. Time doesn't permit.

Hi, the health supplements like Calcium are allowed to take in. You should put them in check-in luggage. As I know, although there is no strict regulation about the amount, don't take too much. The customs officers decide whether you exeed the limit or not, according to your length of stay.
