About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am really confused for lost passport in China

I lost my US passport along with my China entry permit in it.. I am currently in China.I need to exit China in two days. I made my emergency passport from US embassy in Guangzhou.I went ask at the local public security bureau and they said I will need to wait 7 working days to get my replacement China entry permit. Without it, I can't sit China. What should I do?Is free transit can let me exit out from china without my china entry permit? Very Urgent!!

If your passport is kept by the local PSB, then there's no way for you to exit China until they hand back your passport. Chinese immigration will not let a person exit China without a valid passport and visa, and US regulations require you to carry a passport with you when entering the US by air. Without your US passport, no airline will let you on board either. So sit tight, relax and wait for your visa.
