DXB-PEK-HGH Emirates + Air China

I plan to travel EK: DXB-PEK and CA: PEK-HGH with a 3 Hour layover. Do I need to pass through Immigration and customs check - including my checked in bags ?
Is there a dedicated transfer checkin desk?

So u use Air China for the whole trip? If so, there is no need to collect your luggage and customs is not needed either. However, you have to pass through the immigration transfer desk. And the airport has dedicated special channel. You should inform your airline about your case in advance.
