About:China Visa

Brisbane-Shanghai-Seoul-Brisbane

Hi I hold a Korean passport but live in Australia. Below is my plan for May 2018.

To Seoul: Brisbane - Shanghai - Seoul
Back to Brisbane: Seoul - Brisbane

On the way to Shanghai, the Korean Air that I am flying with will stop in Incheon for 1.5 hours for a transfer.
1. Will the 144 hour free transit still be applied to my case?
2. Would I be able to visit Suzhou from Shanghai for a day trip during the visa-free period?

Thank you.

1. You cannot use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai for Brisbane - Incheon - Shanghai - Seoul because it's not a transit. You need to apply for a visa for that beforehand.
2. You are able to visit Suzhou from Shanghai if you have valid entry permit for the trip.
