Hanoi>HK via land

Can you use a transit visa if going from Hanoi to HK by bus or train? If so would it be possible to go and visit Guilin on the journey as well?

Laura, if you will travel like Hanoi-HK-Guilin-HK on UK passport, you cannot use free transit for Guilin, and you don't need a visa for HK but you need to apply for one in advance for Guilin.
