About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Is it safe to stay overnight in Beijing International Airport (PEK)? 13 hours layover?

Our flight from USA is arriving 13 hours before our connecting flight? Are there any traveler comfort service at Beijing Airport, like safe place to shower and rest, restaurant to buy food?

It is very safe by U.S. standards, with SWAT teams and police patrolling virtually everywhere in terminals. As for amenities, there's a free shower room in terminal 3 and food courts, but don't expect them to still open after midnight. Terminal 2 has absolutely nothing and the food there is abysmal. Contact your airline to see if you can snatch a free hotel room.
