About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visit to Shanghai prior to cruise

We are travelling from the uk to Shanghai, staying for 6 days prior to a cruise around Japan. I can't get a straight answer from my airline and cruise operator about whether they will let us board without a visa. I think we qualify for the 144 hour Twov. Has anyone had any issues with their carrier not letting them board without an entry permit please.

Chunkyelvis, you will qualify for the 144 hour TWOV in Shanghai, and no visa is required for that. Nice trip!
