A US airline pilot deadhead in and flies plane out.

I am a US airline pilot that has a trip which deadheads to Shanghai and flies the plane out for work. I have a Chinese crew Visa. I would like to arrive in Shanghai a few days before my trip. Do I need another tourist L.

Hi, I'm afraid you cannot travel in China under Chinese crew Visa, and you need to apply for a tourist L type for that. You are advised to confirm this from the Chinese embassy before you make the application.
