About:China Customs Declaration

Cosmetics, Cheese and seeds

I am going to Shanghai and I would like take some things: cosmetics, cheese (parmesan), seeds of thyme and basil. Can I take those items into China? Do I need to declare something from those items?

Cosmetics are allowed to enter. However, cheese and seeds are forbidden to pass the customs. Please Don't take them.
