About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

A->Shanghai->A combined with B->Shanghai->B

I have booked:
- return ticket: Germany->Shanghai->Germany (arrival day 1, return day 14)
- return ticket: Shanghai->Japan->Shanghai (arrival day 5, return day 10)

Am I eligible for a double visa-free travel (day1 to day5 + day 10 to day 14) or is this not possible? (e.g. because the flight tickets are return flights; or even because I would apply twice for visa-free in a few days)

You mean the travel route is Germany – Shanghai (144 hours)-Japan – Shanghai (144 hours)- Germany, right? If yes, you will be eligible for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai in both directions.
