from yanan to pingyao

Question

Can somebody please tell me how to get to Pingyao from Yanan, Shaanxi.I want to bypass Xian and prefer to travel by train but bus also can.I prefer not to fly, not to spend too much.Thank you.

You are suggested to take a bullet train to Xian North first, which takes about 2h 20 minutes and CNY114.5 for a first class seat, CNY95.5 for a second one. By the way, there are three trains at 7:50, 11:08 and 16:35 a day.After that, you can take a bullet train from North station to PY, which takes about 3 hours and CNY187.5 for a first class seat, CNY150 for a second one.
