guangzhou to danxia mountain in shaoguan. would it be possible for a day trip?

Hi there,  I am planning to leave early morning and take the fastest train. After which, I am planning to journey back at the end of the day.Thanks and looking forward to your feedback.

Yes, round trip in a day is possible. Do leave early and the first high speed train leaves from Guangzhou South at 06:28. It takes an hour to Shaoguan. After getting there, find the direct bus to Danxia Mountain in 1.5h. It is the same to return.
