About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Domestic flight as a connection - can I avoid stamping?

I live in Beijing, but now I am in Israel. I have an Israeli passport with a temporary Chinese working Z which is valid for 30 days from the day of entrance. In addition, I have only one entrance for this visa.

I want to travel to Laos so I book a flight from Tel-aviv (TLV) to Vientiane (VTE). However, I have a connection in China (PEK+KMG):
My flights are: TLV-PEK, PEK-KMG, KMG-VTE.

I want to pass through China only as a international connection, without stamping my one entrance (since I will get in to China after the trip in Laos and stay there). But actually what I have is a domestic flight.

What can I do? Can I exploit the 24 free transit to travel in China (PEK-KMG)? The total amount of time that I have to be in China is less than 10 hours.

Hi, you can get 24 hr direct transit to have a layover in Beijing. When you enter Beijing from TLV, you should tell the consular officers at the immigration inspection counter that you want to use the direct transit policy this time. In this case, you can save the work Z type for your next entry to Beijing.
