Short to Medium HSR Trips from Shenzhen and Guangzhou

Hi,

i would like to experience a Chinese HSR trip from either Shenzhen or Guangzhou. The trip would only have to be between 2 and 5 hours long.

i would leave either station; preferably not having to change trains; travel to for 2 to 5 hrs; stay over night in a hotel near the station, and then come back to where i started from.

any ideas please ? the idea is mainly to experience the best HSR train that i can.

There are many destination can be your option if 2 to 5 hours are all OK. You may check like Guilin, Changsha, Wuhan etc. There are some top destination on this website, you can take them as your reference.
