getting from guangzhou east station to south station

Question

I have my train arrivig to Guangzhou East at 9 am and my next train leaving from Guangzhou south at 10:36 (unfortunately there was no tickets straight to the south station) so i would like to know what is te quickest way to get from one to the other as I am afraid os very tide time. And also do you know what are the pick hours? So that could help a lot as well. Thank you.

The time seems did very limited. No matter by taxi or subway, it may take you around 50min for the transfer. By subway, you may take line 1 to Gongyuanqian and then take line 2 to reach Guangzhou South. Or you may take line 3 (north extension part) to Tiyu W. Rd. and then change to line 3 to Hanxi Changlong, finally line 7 to the South station.
