About:Changbai Mountain

Place to Rent Car, Accommodation, Weather for visiting Changbaishan

Hi,

I'm planning to visit in Mid-November, is it still a good time to go? And where is the best place to rent a car to get to the mountain, is it in Tonghua or Baishan City? How much is it? And are there really no public buses or shared taxis going to the mountain?

To be honest, Nov. is not a good time to visit the mountain. Jul. , Aug. , Sep. is much better.

As for hiring cars, I think Baihe is a better place, since many visitors will go from there to the mountain. If you will go to the north slope, it may cost CNY120-150; if to west slope, it may be CNY280-300.

I happen to know a public bus to the mountain, but it may not work in winter. You can call 86-0433-5310466 for more information.
