Well, you are suggested to take an ordinary train to Guangzhou first to save money. The normal train takes 12-13 hours and CNY255.5 for a hard sleeper, 443.5 for a soft one. After getting there, you can take a train to HK, which takes about 2 hours and CNY179 for a first class seat.

No, no bullet train is available, since as I know, there is no bullet train station in HK now. But I heard there will be one in 2018.
