About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

24 hour TWOV is cancelled?

Hi! I was refused to board the flight Sydney-Guangzhou-Urunqi-Moscow on 24th september 2017. Total time to be spent in china was 19 hours. The reason how it was explained by sydney airport - there are very recent regulations, that dont allow anyone to have any domestic flights in China without chinese visa. My solution was to change the ticket with only 1 stop ( Sydney-Guangzhou-Moscow).I cant find any valid info online. China southern airline also confirmed that no one cant have any domestic flights without visa. Do you have any info about these new regulations?

Margarita, according to the latest new, Guangzhou does not allow multi-stop transit anymore. But you can use 24 hr TWOV under the route of Sydney-Guangzhou-Moscow, and you should remember that the premise is you cannot leave the Guangzhou airport if you want to use 24 hr TWOV policy in Guangzhou.
