About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

I am attending the HK Electronics Fair Oct 13- Oct 15th 2017.

I wish to tour several manufacturers Factories in Shenzhen Oct 16- 20. If I take a train from HK, do I qualify for the 144h visa?

No, you can't enjoy the 144-hour free stay, since it hasn’t be carried out in Shenzhen now.
In your case, you are suggested to apply a Tourist Visa or Business Visa in advance.
