Requirement of visa entering second time in Beijing during our 10 hour stopover

Hi, my husband and I will be going from the UK to Beijing on 2nd Oct, arriving Beijing on 3rd Oct 1 pm. We have the hotel reservation for two nights. Leaving Beijing on 5th Oct around 8.30pm to go to Bangkok. Our stay in Bangkok will be for five days. Our return journey to the UK will be via Beijing, where our stopover will be for 10 hours.
Will we have any problem while returning to Beijing?
Will we need entry permit entering the second time in Beijing? Will they allow us to go out since we have 10 hours stopover

There is no problem for you to return to Beijing. Besides, you will qualify for the 72 hour free transit and 24 hr direct transit in Beijing, no need to apply for a Chinese visa for that. You may be required to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office when you arrive at Beijing on return journey. Afterwards, you can leave the airport to explore the city.
