Korean with Japanese permanent residence

hi, I'm Korean living in Japan with the Japanese permanent residence. I plan for a trip to China next month (tourism), and could you advise whether I need to apply for a visa? Thanks!

Yes, you need to apply for a tourist L type from the CVASC in Japan for that before your trip.
