About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I visit Ningbo

I want to stopover in Shanghai on my way from Canada to Malaysia. If I get a 72 or 144 hour free transit in Shanghai may i visit friends in Ningbo and Hangzhou or do I have to stay in the Shanghai area? As i read the rules I can travel to see my friends but would like confirmation.

You obviously can since Ningbo is well within Zhejiang province.
