About:index

Flying from JFK-Phil, have a layover of 20 hours in shanghai .

Am i allowed for a a free visa transit?
I will be in SH at 4:40 Am
My flight in going to the phil 1:50 am

Yes, you are exempt from visa during the 20h's layover. Actually, your case fits for the 24h visa free transit. If you wanna leave the airport and have a short trip in town, just apply for a stay permit at the immigration counter in the airport.
