About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Visiting China in April

I will be visiting China in April but will be traveling around for 3 months prior and will not be in the US to get the 3 month tourist L. If apply in November or December for the 1 yr L will that be valid for sure for when I go to China in April? Does it take longer processing time or harder to get approved?

US citizens are eligible for L visas with validity for up to 10 years under agreements signed by both governments, so that should not be a problem. Processing time is around one week if you have all the right documents.
