Nepalese Passport and a Green Card Holder in the US

I have a Nepalese Passport and a Green Card Holder in the US. I am in Beijing for less than 24 hours en route to US from Singapore via Air China. Will I need a transit visa if I intend to go sightseeing in Beijing for a few hours?

Hi, you will be eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing. No transit G type will be required then. But you need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the Beijing airport to go sightseeing in Beijing.
