About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Barcelona - Shanghai

Hi there,

I am planning to purchase a retour ticket from Barcelona to Shanghai. My plan is to arrive in Shanghai on the 23rd of September and depart on the 25th. Meaning I will not be visiting a 3rd country but will be staying 72 hours in Shanghai. Would the 72hr free transit apply ?

You're not in transit, so visa-free transit obviously doesn't apply. You either need a visa or you need to change your itinerary.
