Dress code

I was wondering is it acceptable to wear shorts in China? Do local residents wear shorts? Are there any customs or restrictions when wearing certain types of clothes?

It is ok to wear shorts in China and the local residents also wear shorts. You may just wear as comfortably as you like and there is no restrictions on dress code except some muslim mosque visits.
