Do I require a transit visa through Beijing?

Hi, I currently hold a South African Passport but have Permanent Residency in Canada and am wanting to transit through Beijing. I am traveling from Canada (Vancouver) to South Africa (Johannesburg).

Hi, if your total layover time in Beijing is less than 24 hours, you are eligible for 24 hr direct transit. No need to apply for a G type for that.
