Moving from Shanghai to Xiamen with my small dog

Hello,

I need to move to Xiamen and would like to know the Dog policy for the trip. I'm hoping just a travel carrier would be good enough. And if I could purchase a extra ticket so I can put my dog beside me in her travel bag on the seat beside. (Ive heard too many horror stories for the flights)

It is a pity that the rail service do not allowed animal in the carriage as well. The pet can only be arranged in the goods carriage on a slow ride. For your trip, the only slow ride seems K1209, a trip for 24 hours. You need to prepare the health document in advance etc.
