You are suggested to take a long distance bus from SH South Bus Station to Tiantai, and the bus leaves at 8:39, 10:45, 13:37, 14;37, 16:43 and 18:25. It takes about 4 hours. After getting there, you can take bus 5 to Guoqing Temple, from where you can take the free bus to the mountain. It takes about 1h 30 minutes..0
