72 hours free transit for French

Hi, I am french and i plan to travel to Chengdu (stay 2 days) and then flight to sydney. My flight to sydney will stop at Canton and it is a different company that my flight from France. Can I apply for a 72 hours free transit ? Thanks

Arno, if so, you won’t be able to use the 72 hour free transit because the 72 hour policy requires passengers to transit in one Chinese city only. You should apply for a transit G type in advance.

If you stay 2 days in Chengdu you have to apply for a tourist L type.
A transit G type is just valid for 24h.
