About:China Customs Declaration

Moving to China with a lot of bags

I will be moving to China with a work permit. I will be planning to bring most of my things with me in the form of luggage. This is however 8x checked in bags (23 kg each). I checked above and the only that concerns me is the value. I plan to move back to Europe afterwards, but there are of course objects above 2000 RMB in value. Is there something else I need to be made aware of?

You should provide your valid passports, visa, credentials and other documents checked by the frontier inspection office. Maybe your hand baggage will be examined by Chinese Customs. You need to fill in a Departure Card and a Custom declaration Form when leaving China.

You are not allowed to take money more than USD10,000 or equivalent in any other currencies. Or you need to declare. For more details, you can look through the webpage about Exit Regulations of China on this website.
