Chinese visa application for Hong Kong-born British

I am a British Citizen by descent born in Hong Kong and have moved to the UK from the age of 9 months. I have an HKID but have never applied for a HK passport. I am going to study in Hong Kong in January and would like to make short trips to China during my course. What documents should I provide if I apply for an entry permit?

Alexander, if you have an UK passport, you need to provide passport and the copy, the application form affixed with a passport-style photo, transportation and accommodation arrangement, as well as valid entry record in HK if you make the application from there.
