Visa requirements for an Indian national in Trinidad and Tobago on valid work permit.

I am an Indian national working for the University of Trinidad and Tobago as Senior Lecturer. I have a valid work permit and contract with the university. I am required to visit Shanghai maritime University fro a weeks duration for presenting in a conference. Any guidance on the application will be highly appreciated. I do have type F and G in the past.
