About:Prohibited Items

Can you take these items to China? My friend is travelling to china in september.

Can she take powdered milk, porridge and 12 pairs of trainers for family in her suitcase with her, and can she take a bottle of wine bought in England in her hand luggage,

All these items are allowed to be brought into China. But she may need to pay tax for them since the total value has exceed CNY2000.
As I know, one is allowed to take less than 6 cans of milk powder without a declaration and each can should weigh no more than 800g.
The total quantity of wine should be at most 2 bottles and less than 1.5L.
