Do Malaysia & Philippines passport holders need 24hr transit G for flight KK-Guangzhou-Vancouver

Philippines passport holder can use the 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou if traveling like that, but Malaysia passport holder needs to apply for a transit G type beforehand.
