About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I'm an Irish citizen on a round the world cycle trip. Where can I get a Chinese visa in Kazakhstan

I don't have a Kazakhstan entry permit and I've been told that I won't be able to get a entry permit in Almaty which is where I want to go. However I would cycle to Astana if I was assured that I would get the entry permit there.
I'm currently in Russia and hope to cross into Kazakhstan in the next few days
All suggestions welcome

Dermot, it's possible for you to make the application from the China embassy in Astana as long as you have valid entry record in Kazakhstan. You can have a try!
