want to plan 3 days holiday at jiuzhai valley

We are 2 persons on a business trip to china and want to take time off and visit Jiuzhai Valley for 3 nights.Our work will be finished by midday on 13 October 2017 - Friday and will be free till Monday.We want to avoid long bus/car rides if possible, so please suggest closest city to either fly down and/or train.Jiuzhaigou I have read is the closest city from where the drive is shortest. We do not speak chinese and hence more worriedThanksHarry

You may fly to Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport. Then take a shuttle bus or rent a car to the place near the valley. Within walking distance, there are hotels and hostels for you to stay like Angelie Hotel, so there is no need to stay in Jiuzhaigou County.However, due to the recent earthquake, the valley is temporarily closed and the reopening time has not been decided. You'd better pay attention to the news in case your trip cannot go smoothly.
