How do I renew my Chinese passport?

Hi, my Chinese passport just expired couple of months ago. I'm booking a trip to go back to China to visit in a month.

Hi, first, make an online appointment for the application.
Prepare your passport and its copy, a completed application form, and 4 passport-style photos, residence permit in the US, an introduction letter as well as other documents the consular officers consider necessary, and then submit the application to the embassy or the consulate where you resides.

Thanks for the answer. Do you know where I can make an appointment and get the application form? I went on the Los Angeles Chinese consulate's website but cannot find out where to make the appointment or the chinese passport renew application.

Maybe you can find them from the Chinese website of the Los Angeles Chinese consulate.
