Do I require a Visa in Shanghai?

I am flying into Shanghai on Oct 26, staying a hotel overnight and leave on a cruise to Japan and other countries on the 27th. I end up in Hong Kong on Nov 10 and am flying staying in a hotel on the 10,11 and 12 flying out the 13th. I see Hong Kong has a 90 day no requirement.

Brian, you can enjoy free transit in Shanghai, and no visa is required for that.
