I will be staying in a hotel in city centre. May I know the estimated cost of taxi ride to nearby tourist attractions, including Kumtag Desert? Thank you for your time!

Well, since you are plan to visit the nearby attractions, you are advised to charter a car for your trip. As I know, the fare of the one day is about 350-450 to the nearby attractions. If you want to visit the Kumtag Desert, you are not advised to take a taxi or charter a car, which will be quite expensive. You can take a shuttle bus from Turpan Bus Station to Shanshan County. Upon arrival, you can take a bus to Shashan Park, which is also the Kumtag Desert.
