how to get to summer palace from sunworld hotel

Hi. We will be in Beijing in March, 2018. I am investigating a visit to the Summer Palace.Can you tell me how to get there by train from The Sunworld Hotel, Dongcheng District.  88 Dengshikou Street.  How long will it take to get there?ThanksKathleen from Australia

Well, you may walk about 400 meters eastwards to Dengshikou Metro Station and take metro line 5 to Huixin West Street South Gate Station. Then you may transfer metro line 10 to Haidianhuangzhuang Station. Upon arrival, you may catch metro line 4 Daxing Line to Beigongmen Station, Exit D Southwest Direction. Then you may walk ahead along Summer Palace Road to the north gate of the palace directly. The whole trip may take around 1 hour.
