About:Guangzhou Bus Stations

Lido Hotel Guangzhou to Tianhe Bus Station

Hi,

How much and how long will it take from Lido Hotel on Beijing Road to Tianhe Bus Station by taxi or subway?

Subway: You may walk about 400 meters to Beijing Road Metro Station and take metro line 6 to Tianhe Bus Station, Exit A. The whole trip may take around 25 minutes. The ticket fare is CNY4/person.
Taxi: If you take a taxi there, it may take about 20 minutes. The fare may be around CNY35-40 in the day time.

Thanks John. I understand long distance buses from GZ to Shantou leave from several bus stations - Provincial Long Distance Bus Station, Tianhe, LiHua, Fangcun & Guangyuan. Which is the nearest to Lido Hotel which operates express buses.

Also, I'm confused by this para on this website.

Tianhe Long-Distance Bus Station
1. Bus Routes: Bus No. 65, 235, 564, 534, 252, 135, 84A, 126, 290, 236, 297, 535, 28, 39, 884, 54, 46, 84 (Branch), Leifeng Shuttle Buses (Passengers arriving at Tianhe Coach Station by long-distance buses, and passengers with tickets originating from Tianhe Long-distance Bus Station or Guangdong Provincial Long-distance Bus Station can take Leifeng Shuttle Buses transferring between the two coach stations for free) and Airport Express Line 8.
2. Subway Line 3

1) Do all the above bus numbers go to Shantou?
2) Does it mean Leifeng shuttle buses run between Tianhe Coach station and Guangdong Provincial Long Distance stations only and not to Shantou.
3) Is Airport Express Line 8 direct to Baiyun Airport? If yes, how long is the journey time and how much is the fare? Airport Express Line 8 departs from Tianhe station or Provincial Long Distance station?

Well, the Provincial Long Distance Bus Station is the closest one from your hotel, which is only about 4 kilometers. You can take a taxi there directly. The fare may be around CNY15 in the day time.
1. No, it doesn’t mean that all these buses head for Shantou. These buses can take you to Tianhe Long-Distance Bus Station.
2. Yes, it means Leifeng shuttle buses only run between those two bus stations.
3. As I know, the airport express line 8 is to the airport, but it is neither from Tianhe Station nor Provincial Long Distance Bus Station.
The airport express line 1 is from the Railway Station (about 700 meters from Provincial Long Distance Bus Station) to the airport. The ticket fare is CNY18/person and the duration is around 45 minutes.
Besides, I didn't find the information that you listed on this website.
