About:China Visa

Document legalization

I need to get 2 documents legalized / notarized by the Chinese Consulate - both documents have been signed by a Notary Public and countersigned by the FCO - I took the documents to Edinburgh and was told I had to go to Manchester - do I need to make an appointment?
