How much dried fruit can I take into China?

We have dried cherries we want to take from US to China for gifts to my wife's family. My initial searches seem to indicate that dried fruit is okay, but what about limits on quantity, packaging and declaration procedure?

There's no exact quantity limit on the dired fruit, but you are suggested not to bring too much. Sealed packages are recommended. You should declare the dired fruit to customs after you arrive in China.
