hi. i wish to visit jade dragon snow mountain in january.

Question

Do we have to make an advance booking for the cable car? or we can purchase any of the tickets (entrance, show etc) when we reach that place? Please advise many thanks!Could you please advise us as to where we should go (places or show) 1st while in the mountain?

Well, as I know, you don’t have to book the ticket in advance. You can buy it in the ticket office at the entrance when you arrive there. You can enjoy the scenic spot from Huge Yulong, which is the first attraction when you enter it.

We are also thinking to rent a private car (with driver) to bring us to the mountain from Lijiang Old town....we were told by a hostel that they can arrange that for us for 350RMB (round trip). do you have any other suggestion? is it possible to take a public transport (bus) to that area? Please advise! thanks!

Well, from my experience, the price of the hostel is relatively reasonable. In addition, you can also take the public bus from Lijiang Ancient Town to the mountain. You can take a direct bus from Yuhe Parking Lot which is near the north gate of the town to the mountain directly. The ticket fare is CNY40/person. The service line is 4006886303.

Yes, you can visit there on your own. The show will perform at 9:00, 11:00 and 14:00 in the peak season. As I know, the ticket fare is CNY190/person
