About:China Private Visit Visa

Legalization of the birth certificate

To apply S2 type for my son do I need to get his birth certificate legalize from China Embassy. I am an Indian passport holder, and my son was born in Indonesia, Chinese embassy in a India is saying that they can not attest the doc as it was not issued in India, although the certificate was issued by Indian consulate in Bali, Indonesia.

Pankaj, yeah, you need to get his birth certificate attested by Chinese embassy. If the document is issued in Indonesia, you’d better do that at the embassy of China in Indonesia.
