distance from t1 to t2

Question

My wife and I will arrive in Shanghai from Beijing at 12-55pm on China Eastern Airlines in November. Our friends arrive on the same day on Singapore Airlines from Singapore at 12-45pm. We want to meet them on their arrival at the International Arrivals.  I assume the fact they need to go through Customs will mean we will be able to be waiting for them when they walk into the arrivals hall.Would this be correct and what would be the best transport. I guess you will arrive at Hongqiao Airport. You can take the free bus from No.6 Gate of T1 to T2, it takes you about 20 minutes.
