About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hello, We will be going on a 9 day cruise starting and ending in Shanghai.

The cruise will have three ports in Japan before returning to Shanghai.
Do we need to apply for a Full Visa, we are not staying in the Shanghai area apart from flying in and out
We are from the UK.
Thanks!

Wayne, if you travel like UK-Shanghai(144 hours)-Japan-Shanghai(144 hours)-a third country rather than Japan, you are eligible for 144 hour free transit, and you don't need a visa for that.
